Thank you for your interest in the Mt. Pleasant Home Education Association!

Screen Capture by Snagit We are a Christian homeschool association. Applying families sign a Christian Statement of Beliefs each year. We currently have over 40 families in our group. Students are welcome to participate in as many large group events (or as few) as your family would like. Each family is asked to serve on a large group event committee and encouraged to offer an additional service contribution to the group during the school year.

If you choose to apply for MPHEA membership, please mail the completed application, statement of beliefs, liability waiver, and behavior policy forms to the address listed on the application. If your family is interested in participating in the 2015-2016¬†MPHEA Co-op, please include the completed co-op application. (Please note: you must be a member of MPHEA to join Co-Op.) For applications received on or before May 15th, 2015 the membership fee is $25.00. After May 15th, the fee is $35.00. Applications must be received by August 1, 2015*. The Association’s official school year is from August 1 to July 31. *Our organization previously required all applications to be received by August 1st. However, our membership recently voted to waive the August 1st deadline on a case-by-case basis for families who experience extenuating circumstances. Although it’s easier for the board to process applications as a batch over the summer months, we understand that there are families who move into the area after the deadline, remove their children from traditional school mid-year, or simply did not learn about our organization prior to that date. Please include a short note with your application mentioning your family’s extenuating circumstance if you’re applying mid-year. The payment of $35.00 will remain the same.
